Rosemary Beach
Looking
for a secluded beach community away from rows of high-rise
hotels, motels and condos and noisy congested traffic? Are
you looking for a place where you can enjoy the beach the
way it was meant to be enjoyed? Then Rosemary Beach is the
place for you. Rosemary Beach is conveniently located at
the east end of highway 30-A on the Gulf of
Mexico's sugar-white beaches. At Rosemary Beach you can
leisurely walk to the public square, plaza park, tennis
courts, and swimming pool.
Rosemary Beach's architecture
is the initial eye-opener. The
architectural style of Rosemary Beach's homes and commercial
buildings reflect the influence of the Dutch and West Indies
and the houses of St. Augustine, the West Indies, New Orleans,
and Charleston. Natural colors ranging from rust and tan
to green and brown, Bermuda shutters, wide second-floor
porches, and arched garage doors are reminiscent of the Dutch and
West Indies. A Caribbean feature is the walls lining both
sides of the solid entry way steps. Footpaths and boardwalks
lead to large decks over the dunes from where the magnificent
beach can be viewed.
The architectural theme is part
of a so-called "New Urbanism," complete with a
one-of-a-kind architectural theme.
New homes and new shopping spots
and places to dine in the Town Center continue to make Rosemary
Beach the quaint place it is because it stays true to its
individuality. The town center has a post office, town hall,
and Italian inn.
